Matkamajakka is a privately owned, full-service travel agency that has operated since 1989.

Our strengths are our competent personnel and our personal service.

The travel agency is located in Haukipudas, about 20 km from the city centre of Oulu. Our office is within easy reach as the bus stop for local buses is just a few steps from us. If you come by car, you will find free parking spaces right in front of our office.

When you plan your trip you sometimes need a lot of information about your destination country and the available alternatives. Our expert team will plan your trip according to your specific wishes and the budget you give us. Whether you will be travelling near or far – start your trip from Matkamajakka!

We also make reservations conveniently for companies and groups. Contact our office for more information! In addition to the actual travelling, we can also take care of all the services you need on your trip, such as accommodation, meals and guided tours with a qualified guide.

We have access to the reservation systems for airline, and ferry tickets in Finland and abroad, and the reservation systems of international hotels. In addition, we sell the popular Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises.

You can also make a hire car reservation and submit an application for a visa through us.

A gift voucher to Matkamajakka is an excellent way to remember someone celebrating their birthday or graduating, or a couple getting married. We write the sum you want on the voucher to be used for the service they choose at Matkamajakka.

Matkamajakka is a member of the Association of Finnish Travel Agents (SMAL/AFTA). We have provided the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority with the required guarantees and comply with the general terms and conditions for package tours.

SCHEDULED FLIGHTS

We sell tickets for most of the well-known airlines, and also for some less familiar ones.

The prices and terms of tickets may sometimes be very complicated. Airlines sell tickets that can be changed for a fee, and tickets that cannot be changed. Some prices include a piece of luggage, some do not.

Let us find the best possible routes and timetables for you, the way you prefer them. We will explain to you the terms of the route and the price you have chosen; you will get a package that takes you safely to your destination.

BUSINESS TRAVEL

Book your company’s business trips effortlessly through Matkamajakka. We will email you the most cost-effective quote for the airline or ferry tickets, car hire and hotels that meet your needs. After you have confirmed the reservation, you will receive all your tickets conveniently in your email.

The payments are handled by us and it is possible to have an invoice agreement with us. Travel expenses are easier to report after business trips when you don’t need to go through the receipts, but the timetables and all the services you have purchased are listed in the invoice.

GROUPS

We make convenient reservations for group travel in Finland and abroad. We have solid expertise and long experience in group travel arrangements for individual travellers, companies and different associations.

In addition to the transport, we also take care of all the services you need on your trip, such as accommodation, meals and guided tours with a qualified guide. For your group you can book dinners with your preferred menus at restaurants through us.

Matkamajakka organises popular guided group holidays 2-3 times a year in Finland or abroad. A tour leader from our office accompanies the group during the trip and we usually have a Finnish-speaking local guide at the destination. These holidays may have a theme relating, for example, to culture or music. Going on holiday is easy, effortless and safe as we plan the programme down to the last detail in advance.

HOTELS

Through the hotel reservation systems that we use, we can make reservations for hundreds of hotels all over the world. Tell us what you want from your hotel and we will find the option that best meets your needs. We use reliable, good-quality hotels. In connection with most hotel bookings, we can also book private transport between the airport and the hotel for you.
